This is the worst troll attempt ever. Bakken's legacy and importance stands the test of time and it has zero to do with his running. If you don't understand that, the sport might not be for you. Whether you agree with his and sirpoc philosophy or not.

I may be wrong but I think he was trying to use running as a way to figure out how to improve his bike, and then realized he could apply sweetspot from the bike to running. I may be wrong though, he chimed in about 4-5 pages into the initial 2023 thread.
It’s documented NSM lore ( from the man himself) that sirpoc was on the crapper when he came across this thread and decided to respond. That will probably be somewhere in the foreward of upcoming book?
I just love how life works...one day your on the toilet posting your training, next you finished a book with a forward from Bakken. You just cant predict it, must be surreal at times for him. Definitly deserved imo.

I mean Bakken only came up with the method that has directly influenced most of the Europeans currently winning medals and breaking world records, but yeah apart from that his legacy is pretty insignificant
Just checked out Sirpoc's strava, his cadence is ridiculous. 200spm at 7:30? That's like a cartoon character spinning their legs. Maybe that's what is holding him back in shorter distances. With his 10k/hm PR, he should've dipped far below 15.

You might want to fact check this. He ran 15:01 solo, on a terrible course. Two guys who ran that day in the low 16s ran 15s a week later at Battersea, one of them posted in this thread, about how it's at least 20, maybe 30 seconds slower. Which is why people have pleaded for him to run a proper 5k course, rather than his local ones which are just terrible for a good time. He also beat a guy in the Eastleigh 10k who ran 14:31 at Battersea a week or so later.
What is it with you guys and your obsession with Bester? Do you hate hard working men? I've met Nick and all I can say is he is one of the nicest and hardest working people around, only trying to help others. He's everything your messiah claims to be.

I took a gamble and bought all three, the initial cost breakdown was £98 for the do-win, £35 for the challenger and £30 for the red hare for £163 total, though I suspect I will have to pay more for the shipping charge once the agent receives the goods. Maybe I'll be able to use the new signup coupon at that stage.
If this works out, I'd have bought all three for half the price I spent on a puma fast r-3 that I had to order from Japan on ebay and pay import taxes to the UK lmao.
Update: paid £44 for shipping all three to the UK, would have been able to get it cheaper if I batched them all into one box and removed the packaging - possibly for around £35. It seems they still put the shoes in a box anyway so there is no need to keep the shoe boxes, you get given quality-control pictures showing the box details anyway (shoe size, model etc).
£207 for a top quality daily trainer, speed trainer and raceday shoe is absolutely unreal, cheaper than the price of a single asics metaspeed sky tokyo. Got my eyes on the Dynafish Xiaonian for £100 including shipping next once the size 41s come back in stock.

Bargain! Are any of them a wider fit and not too narrow or too low volume in the toe box? I've steered clear from Chinese shoes as I presumed (based on reading 1 review) they'd all be a narrow fit
