The Dersh's argument was just fantastic.. took it to the next level for sure:

"If a president does something which he believes will help him get elected in the public interest, that cannot be the kind of quid pro quo that results in impeachment."

Put aside the ridiculousness of his general argument for a second and focus on the word "believes".. we just all have to accept that whatever trump merely believes is in the public interest is never grounds for impeachment. This is Hitler empowerment stuff ---- go along with whatever king trump wants and never question his motives, ever... just know that it's ok because he believes it to be.

For the sake of our nation, I hope he gets even more involved in the trial. I don't think the founding fathers meant that an impeachment trial would be one where the chief justice is subservient to senate rules.

Schiff represents his district and does not govern it. He has zero input in policies for his district and does not even live there. It's the same thing for Pelosi and SF.

As a businessman, Trump is horrific. I've met many commercial real estate developers and they do what they're good at and do not invest in businesses where they no experience, such as casinos, air lines and fledgling professional football leagues. And they would never put their names on scams like an Amway style company or his "university".

Trump's history of failed business ventures shows why he is the last person to set US trade policy.

He actually thinks that any trade deficit is bad and that we owe China money because of it.

He doesn't understand that tariffs on imports are paid by American businesses and cause American made items to cost more.

And of course his promise to pay down the debt was always ludicrous while he has accelerated the deficit.

He promises GDP growth of 4% or more and it it barely budges over 2%.

Trump is a vile and entitled human being with a binary approach to everything. To compound these limitations, he was born rich and empowered by unconstrained bad behavior. It boils down to him being a powerful simpleton posing a massive risk to anything he touches. If he didn’t have money to flash his fake wealth would a meaningful number of people listen? He luckily stumbled upon a time of massive division in this country - the outraged right was more than happy weaponize this vile idiot for their gratification. Being "widely considered the most corrupt President ever" while surviving as POTUS actually supports the argument that he is a great sales person (con man) for the 20% of the people who matter. So at least part of your argument corroborates the assessment of 'Truth b told2'.

OH, MI, WI, IA - not good for Trump

FL and AZ are doing average

Texas is doing great at 4%

New York, not so good 0.5%

Interesting that DC, MD, and VA are all below 2% growth. The DC area is not keeping up. Maybe that was the swamp draining.

Delaware grew 0%.

OK. Step up and explain how you would fix the problem. Remember that they are citizens and you can't just lock them up. Treating them like crap and encouraging them to leave and move to another city doesn't solve the problem. And building housing for them will cost some serious bucks.

If the coal mines closed and we stopped burning fossil fuel, the air would be cleaner and about 100,000 American lives would be saved every year.

Instead of working in the mines, West Virginians would be working on solar installations. Instead of breathing coal dust, they would breath clean, healthy air.

Longer term, we have to close the coal mines or our grandchildren might not survive at all.
