It would have been impossible for him to survive in a Fortune 400 company where you actually have to work and make good decisions, but he's a great salesman. He would have found a product to sell to the "common" man.

Gonna agree (about Trump, not the NASCAR thing - I know next to nothing about NASCAR, so I can neither agree nor disagree there). Everything is built upon precedence. If it is made clear that it is ok that Trump broke the law and that he can do anything to get re-elected, then that is handed down the line to future Presidents. There would have to be very specific language added to The Constitution to prevent this kind of action again. Republicans are taking us down a very dark road.

He is a conman, and his most successful con of course was getting elected President. He has not been successful in his business. It is a ridiculous argument to be made that we just let the voters decide. The voters decide if a President gets a second term when he DOESN'T commit crimes in office. The impeachment process is there PRECISELY to deal with unacceptable behavior by the President between elections.

I am not sure we will someone as corrupt again, but one thing is for sure... whatever it is they are engaging in the other party will not be able to check him/her through impeachment proceedings, knowing there is precedence for blocking witnesses and evidence. It's an open field and blank check for potus.

Rand's obsession with exposing the whistle blower has gotten out of control. His question was shot down by Roberts and he still didn't get the message that what he's trying to do is illegal.

I disagree with that assessment. Trump has a laundry list of business failures. For someone who had a HUGE head start in life, he has not done well in business. He hit a home run with his biggest con...getting elected President, but he has already been impeached and widely considered the most corrupt President ever, so his legacy is forever tarnished. As President, we also found out how bad at business he has been. Just not a good salesman at all.
