So, does anyone, in the Southern Conference, have any idea what's happening to the Mercer University program? They have a head coach for men's xc and an interim head coach for women's xc and track. Any insight, info, and/or gossip? It's all very strange.

If what you say is true, Edrick makes about what a decent assistant football coach at a Power 5 school make (coordinators at about 800k+)
Any thoughts on the Ripon openings? Looks like they are opening an amazing facility,but I'd think it would be an incredible challenge to recruit against the WIAC. What happened to the current staff?

If these high profile coaches start bouncing around more, you would think it would force colleges to pay more right? It could be a good thing for the Kentucky coach to go to UT because they currently don't pay their head coach as much as they would have to pay elrick
Ky has that high school phenom coming, sydney McGlauphlin (sp?) so I doubt Floreals leaving since she signed with them. But then again if another school matches a high price salary , you never know. He also has an Olympic hurdler there and a chance to win the ncaa very soon with the addition of Mclaughlin

You are correct about the recruiting component of Ripon. How many quality D-III level Wisconsin (or surrounding) kids would choose an expensive private school education at a relatively unsuccessful school when they could go to a much cheaper D-III public school who just might win the NCAA title?

"Three-time USA Olympic Trial Qualifier" -- when? Guy has PRs of 10.41 in the 100 and 21.24 in the 200. Those aren't close to Trials qualifying marks.
"2005-07 Pan American Games Qualifier" -- No. The 2005 meet would have been the Pan Am Juniors, but he wasn't on the team. In 2007, he certainly did not make the PAG team for Rio.
