Heaven forbid if they tested NCAA's cash cows FB and BB. Wonder how many in these sports are jacked up on the juice? Now you know why the NCAA has balked at more stringent testing.
Ha! They do test. The doping is just more sophisticated. A *lot* more sophisticated. I went to a football factory university. It’s kind of wild how sophisticated it was then, and it’s only gotten more sophisticated since.
It helps, and the AP story reminded me of this, that the NCAA schools get a heads up of when the testing will occur and who will be tested.
It’s the classic athlete open book test. 😂
I went to a school where they “randomly” tested but in reality they “randomly” end up picking the people they know who would not test positive.
I was tested twice. Top guys were tested yearly. You had guys doping on your team? What school was it? You sure seem to be on a mission to get Seth banned. Why didn't you report your teammates? Why not tell us the name of your school since it is an unscrupulous one?

We should all be on a mission to get people who very clearly doped banned
I agree. Yet the other poster is admitting that he ran with dopers who he did not report. But now that he is anonymous, he is trying to ruin the reputation of someone who has not been found guilty of doping. I guarantee that he will not provide names of the known dopers nor even report the name of the school.

Just going to quote the AP News Story:
Testing for EPO: "a well-known red blood cell booster detectable through blood tests, the likes of which the NCAA is not known to administer."
NCAA's lack of non-analytical testing: "The ability to investigate potential evidence other than blood and urine samples led to the ban of cyclist Lance Armstrong and dozens of other athletes even though they did not test positive for drugs."
Providing advanced notice: "The NCAA drug testing handbook says D-I and D-II athletic departments are, under most circumstances, notified at least two days in advance of a visit from testers. 'Giving notice of testing, even a couple of hours before the collection, is mostly theater — just to say you test'"
To recap, the NCAA:
Doesn't test for EPO
Gives advanced notice when they are going to do their worthless tests
Doesn't allow for the type of doping violations that led to the most famous bust in endurance sports history (Armstrong)

One of my tests was early morning with no notice. I don't know what other schools do though.

Oh nooOoOOo the Rowan Renegade figured out how to use the register button instead of VPN connection button.
Anyways I was talking to the Football/Basketball factories and not the Asterisk Title Army
2x Team National Champs btw from post-2010s so no piggy backing allowed on anything won more than a decade ago
The moderateion is incredibly unjust and unfair. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I haven't been on this thread. Moderation is hard to do properly .
This is an international news story. People should be allowed to talk about it.
I'm on here now. What questions do people have?
Yes, after a threatened lawsuit, we deleted the other thread. This one popped up.
Please check your email. I think, to paraphrase Paul Harvey, there's still the rest of the story to know but that your first article was an excellent start.

+1 to this. Went to a mid-major D1, and they only tested twice during my three years there, one was the slowest kid on the team by a huge margin, and the other was the well known upstanding guy who is now a youth pastor. Both were obviously not on something and both received advance notice (about a day if I remember correctly)
Rowan minions (likely Ellie) reporting comments talking about “drugs” on instagram post about the doper as attempting to buy narcotics. Don’t worry Ellie, you can request a review and instagram will reinstate them
More insane behavior from clean athletes that tarnishes their own reputation, all to carry water for a very highly likely drug cheat
Today's the extension Rowan OPRA counsel asked for. Pretty sure they were banking on "take out the trash day" aka Friday news dump. Clearly not former track athletes, whatever they release is going to spread like wildfire while people are standing around meets this weekend.
