my king’s from herriman would never post on this website as they would never consider EMBARRASING themselves like these CBA clowns. these kids need to get a life.
Any predictions on how Keegan Smith will do at NXN? He was the top freshman in the nation 3 years ago
but he seemed physically mature for his class as a freshman so likely not much upside. Eventually all the twigs who were a foot shorter than him as a freshman will catch up.
Lets just completely ignore them breaking Holmdel course record and almost getting Bowdoin course record. Also decimated previous CBA time trial averages of teams that have won or podium at NXN. Not to mention that 10:24 or smth avg at holmdel is diabolical. Luke “Cheddabob” Hnatt didn’t even race it and hes a 9:10 2 mile sophomore. Pipe down you don’t want the smoke. Joey Burr Barrett is about to shatter everyones dreams.

I know they don't want to hear this and northeast is all about racing difficult courses but it would be really cool if they went to woodbridge. It's the big meet in the west, and all the top northwest, south, california, and herriman from the southwest and some other southwest teams will be there. Everyone pretty much agrees that Herriman will decimate the competition, but CBA seems to think they can win. So they should go and try to win woodbridge. Would be really cool because the team competition is obviously going to herriman. So it would be cool for a team in the race to actually be going there to try to win. The plus about racing woodbridge is that even if you don't perform well later in the season, you can still show you were strong in the early season. The negatives are everyone is going to decredit your 3 mile time team performance lol.
Would be an amazing race to watch in theory but in reality its just not practical or doable especially with school and if its only for the sole purpose of establishing dominance in the early season. Just hold your breath until the Bowdoin race.
I didn’t realize Rocky was so senior heavy. Returners for next year have speed ratings of 176, 163, 144, 142, 140, 139, 138, 133, 131. Obviously a long season ahead for those to improve but they started last year with 178, 157, 155, 155, 153, 150. The 153 ran JV and won by a bunch and then the next week ran 164. So 178, 164, 157, 155, 155, 150 for returners in their first varsity races of the year last year.
They almost always have 4-5 seniors in their varsity but then reload every year because they are one of the top 5 deepest teams in the nation.
The Northwest will look a lot different next year. CDA looses pretty much the rest of their 2023 team, Crater will lose two guys who have a shot to individually win the region. Rocky graduates a ton and may be unable to reload for the first time in a while.
It wouldn't surprise me if any of those 3 teams didn't end up in the top 5 at NXR next year.
Rocky will lose a lot but they will be young next year. Likely 2, maybe 3 seniors on varsity. They have lots of good sophomores. One of them is a transfer who ran a sub-17 last year as a freshman and ran a state meet. Not sure if he is eligible to race varsity this year, but it doesn’t matter because he’s around #10 on the team this year and is running JV races. He should be eligible the next 2 years though. Next year will probably be a young, rebuilding year for them, but in 2026 they will have lots of experience and will probably be really good. And with the depth that they have, you never know who will have a good track season and step up

right now it feels like to me that they are pretty identical to what they were last year. 16:03 is good for early season holmdel but they had team averages in the low 15:50s last year. unless this was just a tempo effort, then how would i know?

i was just checking joe barrett’s strava and it seems very much so that it was a tempo. Does anyone know what they ran at this meet last year?

The Haddonfield boys won its 245th straight dual meet on Tuesday to break the South Jersey record, and CBA extended its national record dual streak to 393.

holmdel is the hardest course in the country according to milepslit and apparently this wasn’t an all out race for cba so doesn’t really mean anything
