Definitely should have been more clear. Like you said, maybe people were thinking Hunter Biden and others on Trump's hit list.

I doubt if Hunter will testify if witnesses are allowed. I think John Roberts would block it. It could be overruled by a Senate vote, but there are Republicans who believe it will not help their cause to have him testify.

I have to agree with Rigged for once because there are some mighty dumb people in these pictures.

Trump is being charged with abuse of power for pressuring the leader of a foreign country to make public announcements of an investigation into a Trump political rival.

He is also charged with obstruction of congress for blocking witnesses and evidence of those actions form being entered into the impeachment inquiry.

For the first charge, Trump's team is throwing out 3 different types of defense.

1) He didn't do it

2) What he is charged with is not impeachable because it is not a crime

3) Even if he did do it and it is an impeachable offense, it wasn't bad enough to require removal

The Republican senators have to look at this:

1) He did do it. Everyone knows he did and no one truly believes he did not do it.

2) You absolutely can impeach someone for an offense that is not a federal crime if congress believes it was wrong and harmful to the country

3) If a Democrat did this, would you vote to convict. But also consider that what Trump did was not in the national security interest of the country.

For the charge of obstruction of congress:

Their only defense seems to be that it is OK to deny evidence to Congress and block their oversight duties.

But there are co-pays and deductible for care and prescriptions, of course.

I just had an employee complain about healthcare costs and say to me "I wish Pelosi would let Trump do his job to fix healthcare costs".

I think she is representative of millions of Trump supporters who have no clue of the damage Trump has done and the Republicans indifference to do anything about healthcare.

Republicans had the House and the Senate. They still have the senate.

They can't come up with a law to replace Obamacare and vote on it.

In the meantime, this employee (a smoker) simply has medical issues and is the reason costs are high for everyone.

It's always easier to blame someone else - and their great leader trump has given them plenty of other people to blame. People don't want to hear the truth about how much damage has been done and how costly and difficult it will be to fix. That's why the right easily poked holes in the ACA - the truth hurts.
