The best hope for the Republicans is to execute the cover-up and hope for the best. But they need to know what they are covering. They need to see Bolton's book and more importantly, they need to see Bolton's notes and hear his testimony before they decide what to do.

A conviction requires 67 votes. Three more democrats might vote for acquittal.

These polls don't really make much sense. If you take out the 50% that want him removed from office that would leave 25% that should be undecided, but later on it says 89% of people have made up their minds. That means that 15% want Trump acquitted, but still want witnesses? Why?
