Part of that is the electoral college structure, but a lot more is about failure to have a message (what was HRC's message?) and to get people to vote.

It's really quite simple. It's rhetoric vs results.

The middle class and minorities listened to Democratic rhetoric for decades. They saw no results.

Then Trump hits the scene and starts speaking directly to them from the other side of the aisle, and promises to employ a hybrid approach (pro-business, while also trying to protect our industries). He uses tactics that infuriate both sides. But yet, it gets results. The economic numbers are the best we've ever had, the stock market breaks records seemingly every month, and wages are finally increasing at a significant rate. Every single person I know- from both sides of the political spectrum- is much better off today than they were in 2016. And yet, Dems still claim that the middle class is voting against their interests. That's called "rhetoric".

You are arguing that we should vote for Biden because Tiny thinks he will be the toughest to beat. That assumes two things:

1) Tiny actually thinks that Biden is the toughest opponent.

2) Tiny is a brilliant political strategist and we should care what he thinks.

Concerning assumption #1: I wouldn't dare to guess Tiny's thoughts. But the obvious reason he cooked up the Ukraine scheme is because Tiny believes that Biden will be his opponent rather than a fear of facing him.

Concerning assumption #2: Tiny is not a brilliant political strategist. He has won only a single election in his entire life. And a lot of things had to break his way to do it. In other words, he had a ton of luck.

I hear you. But I disagree with you.

In a two-party system we'll very rarely have a president who we agree with on everything. These big-tent parties are always compromises. So there is no ideal. The best we can do is put together some kind of amalgamation of who represents our individual values, who seems like a decent human being, and who can win.

To me, it's clear that in PA Biden will keep both the union white guys and the lefties. Whereas Sanders and Warren, who advocate for a complete banning of fracking, will completely lose the union vote, the energy vote,etc. They just won't vote to end their jobs. No matter how promising the view of green jobs down the road is.

While I think enviro Dems are going to hold their nose and vote for whoever runs against trump.

See the math there? This is totally legit.

And we have to win PA or we're dead. Biden wins PA and the election. Sanders loses PA and the election.

Seems you'd like to go back to the days of political parties choosing their candidates by committee members without voter input.

The Dems can lose PA and still win the election, by the way.

Win Florida plus one state like Arizona or Michigan or North Carolina.

They may even win Texas.

The problem with Trump winning every single swing last time is there is no margin for error and he has to do it again.

All of today's polls will change after a candidate has been chosen and every week leading up to the election.

And Trump will keep doing things to hurt his image with the public.

And more bad things for Trump will keep coming out.

Bolton's book is coming out.

Lev Parnas keeps feeding leaked tapes to the media.

There will be rallies like you've never seen in October, before the election.

Bloomberg will keep making national anti-Trump adds.

So will Steyer.

Turnout will be very high, and that's always good for Democrats.
