They know exactly how criminal he is, there is no doubt. But they are beholden to their marching orders from turkey neck and impotus. Most understand what would become of their future if they go against the orders. Most probably also have plenty of justification mechanisms like the usual whataboustims to continue believing it's all good.

this is an actual US Senatory, who denies the whole thing, despite the mounds of evidence. Just disregards all the facts.

This is probably pretty typical. These people worship power more than any sort of ideal. That's how Stalin and Hitler took over - they understood the fundamental truth that politicians want to be in office more than they want to do good deeds.

This senator put this on his website, thinking it wil help him with voters. Just terrifying.

Question for my Dem/progressive friends here ... Let's say Trump is acquitted by the Senate. Come November Trump will have been investigated for four years (Mueller, impeachment, etc.). And let's say he is fortunate enough to win re-election. House Dems have already promised to continue investigating him. Will there ever be a time when you say enough is enough? Would you advocate another 4 years of endless investigations of the guy? Do we really want a president investigated for all 8 years of his presidency? Again, is there a time when you might say enough is enough?

How does Schumer know that Republican senators watch Fox exclusively? Please tell me how he knows that? Did he poll them? What an idiotic statement that Schumer made. He has no idea what they watch. He merely said that to make them look like dolts lockstep in with Fox News. Just idiotic and he is lying. I can say all Democrat Senators watch MSNBC exclusively. See how easy that is to do?

Trump fears this election, that’s why he’s trying so hard to steal it. Additionally he’ll be helpless to fight the charges once out of office, as will his cronies.

So this (countless investigations) should be the new norm? Whichever party controls the House should just conduct countless investigations in to the president (assuming he is a member of the other party)?

Time is a problem here. The longer this trial drags on the more exposed the GOPs cover up scheme will be. For the first time, many Rs are getting unfiltered truth from the hearing on FOX directly. There isn't enough time for any of this to impact trump's popularity and polling for Rs though. Even if things started to look grim, the GOP would need an out to turn on him - it's too late in the game. Based on trump's increased frantic tweeting, this is definitely having an impact on him.

Can you believe they had the audacity to investigate him again and actually put him in jail?

They kept going after Bill Cosby, too.

You can't let that pass because "enough is enough".

In the Trump era, you're either for him or against him; it has nothing to do with right or wrong. Trump would lash out at any Republican Senator that voted for witnesses, they would receive death threats from some of Trump's cult members and maybe destroy any chance for reelection.

A Senator saying that he/she wants witnesses so that Trump's innocence can be proven should be reasonable and acceptable, but it's not.

If he stops criming then you say enough is enough, until then you have to keep going after him. Sorry you want him to be above the law AND not get looked into.

Dude, FOX is the only right wing network, that's all they are watching because that is all the base is watching. It provides no value to their game to watch something else. Are you saying they are not dolts lockstep with FOX (and by extension trump). The structure is simple - FOX takes trump's marching orders and everyone else falls in line. FOX is like the GOP bulletin board.
