W Bush won the popular vote in 2004.
Florida was again close. If he lost Florida, he would have lost the EC vote while winning the popular vote.
So, the EC could favor Democrats sometimes.
But yes, it’s a messed up and outdated system regardless.
Most of us live in states that don’t matter because one party has it locked up.
It doesn’t feel very Democratic to have an election where most people's vote doesn’t matter.
