This is where stuff is quite funny. How all training is pretty much the same. The only difference really is how sirpoc has been kind enough to share his perspective of it and where he views it from. But he's been training like this for a long time, look at his cycling career going back well over a decade. 3 sub threshold sessions a week, fatigue management and using metrics to micro manage everything. For him this is just basic stuff he's done most of his adult life, just in a new sport. For the rest of us, its shifted our views maybe a bit on what we should be doing.
That approach and being able to disemble it all without the help of a coach, all laid out is why this thread is 400 pages. There's still gold in there, excellent stuff from guys like cheetodust lately who basically just also ignore all the fuss and don't get cute with it.
It's hard to imagine this thread ever falling off training page 1, let alone dying
