Killing another country's general was without question an act of war. We just strengthened the extreme elements in the Middle East by giving them a reason to unify, their hatred toward us. Just use some common sense. How would we react if another country killed one of our leaders, even a leader that we didn't like. We will be at greater risk for terrorism for years to come.
All the pseudo macho talk from at home posters cheering, yeah he deserves it, are reminiscent of the bozo's cheering on the start of the Iraq war fiasco.
The result of Trump act will strengthen Joe Biden's position. The need for a stable leader regarding international affairs will become more apparent. Only the most die-hard trump supporters really trust Trump in this situation.
Ha ha - man you’re silly.
Joe Biden was against Obama’s decision to kill Osama Bin Laden. That’s well documented.
The Left has officially lost their minds - defending Iran’s terrorist leadership is unfathomable. The guy is responsible for thousands of deaths..... heck, they just killed 1500 of their own people..... but “Trump bad!”
TDS is one hell of a disorder.
Exactly, why can't we all just be super happy Trump killed some guy none us ever heard of till 3 days ago.
hey all.
Now that it looks like Biden is starting to lock up the nomination, I'll toss over the transom some 'I told you sos'
A giant pack of Americans wants a calm quiet honorable president much more than they want another political revolutions. Yeah Sanders and Warren fans are fervent. but neither group is nearly as large as Bidenators.
"Voters revel in Biden’s empathy and pine for the normalcy he represents. (“They’d love to scroll through Twitter without seeing angry rants from the president. They yearn for a four-year period where they can safely ignore the goings-on in the White House (a desire that’s likely been heightened by the developments with Iran),” the Atlantic reports.)"
I know voting hasn't begun, but the latest polling shows Biden is exactly on the HRC route - tying in IA, losing in NH and winning big in SC and Super Tuesday states.

It will be a knockout blow for Trump if Bolton testifies. It will confirm the accusations against Trump and that he lied to protect his presidency which is far more significant than his daily lies on orther topics.
The Republican Senators might still bail him out, but I don't see how he could win or even run in 2020.
It would be bad for sure.
But unless he's dead, Tiny will run for president no matter what happens.

Biden does look formidable right now. But in polling, Warren and Sanders together would beat him.
So what happens if Warren or Sanders drop out? Eventually one of them definitely will. It may all come down to timing.
But I think the party is pretty evenly split between moderate and progressive. Don't count on a Biden win before we've even cast the first vote. Things are going to get a lot more interesting.

I'm so cynical about republicans I just assume this is a way to ensure Mitch will not allow any witnesses in the trial. They probably worked this out in advance even,.
I really hope I'm being too cynical, but the way Republicans act is 100% to help the president. There is zero room between elected Rs and Trump, and I am sure Mitch will not let Bolton testify. Rs dont' want truth and facts - they want to defend the president. That's their only goal.
I hope I'm wrong.

The killing of Soulemani is a show of force, a deterrent. It is nothing more than that. The head of the snake was killed. If the Iranians want peace, they should not support terrorists.
Iran has been killing Americans indirectly for many years. That is what they do. No amount of appeasement will change that. I don't believe they want war and don't think we will start a war. The Iranians are big talkers. They can't possible match the US in military might.
* The only thing they can do is terrorist actions via proxies. *
If they do anything like Saddam did, it will be the end of that regime.
Iraq did not tell us to GTFO. There was a non-binding resolution.
The only nation with a say in the ME is the US. We are the only ones with troops there. What nonsense are you talking about?
Deterrent??? Hahaha. You are smoking that good ol U-S-A crack. We have them a gift, the biggest one in recent history. Wake up - obody wants us in the ME except Israel and KSA. We have zero respect in the region. Iran will have a bomb sonon.
I thought you terminated trolls. You sound like a low information troll. The gift was given by Iran by taunting Trump and setting the Embassy on fire.
Please explain this with some facts why nobody wants us in the middle east. You say no one and them name the major players in the middle east?
What do you mean they will get a bomb soon? What do you think is going to happen?

There are no moderates in the Democratic party. You have the far-left Liberals and those even to the left of those.

Bolton is either experiencing a change of heart after this escalation with Iran or for some other reason moving to protect his a$$. I actually think it could be the former. He knows just how incompetent and reckless trump is so he might be doing this as a patriot to protect the country from unnecessary risk. One thing is for sure though, Bolton would not lie under oath. The GOP will do everything in their power to make sure he doesn’t testify. He was considering running for office, so they have some tools to persuade him not to talk unless he absolutely has to.
Bolton has been lobbying to bomb and I,vade Iran for years, so I don't think that is it.
In all of this Iran talk, please let us keep in mind a fundamental fact:
A President of the United States solicited the assistance of a foreign government against an American political rival. The President was impeached for that, and should have been.
The Iran stuff is important, but don't let the fact that our President abused his power for personal gain be pushed to the back burner--however much some people might like it to be.
If he wants to testify, he can do so to the House anytime.
