China has a complete daily/speed trainer/racer rotation there for less than the price of an Alphafly 3. You can probably get them even cheaper than that with coupons or on taobao. It's madness what the western shoe companies are charging.
Given we’re 400+ pages in and people are still asking about Easy Run HR% Max, I’d say actually reading posts went completely out the window a good 375 pages ago.

I’ll admit, those are good prices. I agree, it's madness what Western shoe companies are charging. You can find deals for Western shoes, though at times in limited sizes, or buy prior seasons versions. Adidas and Nike regularly have huge sales when clearing inventory.
Novablast 5 (one of my all-time favorite shoes) for $85 earlier this week at Dicks in the U.S.
I have fussy older feet that need slightly wide, lower drop shoes. Most Nike, Puma, & Asics (except NB5) with their narrow & high drop shoes won't work for me. Mostly stick to Adidas, Mizuno, & New Balance. Lot of Chinese shoes look more on the narrow side perhaps like the above brands. Western shoes have loads of stats from sites like runrepeat, rtings, & reliable reviews from Doctors of Running that I rely on.
Also nice to have an easy return option like Dicks where I can order online & drive over to return them in person if needed, or try them on in the store. Amazon has fairly easy returns & has RED Hare 8 PRO at $100. Not much cheaper than some Western brands. They're $72 on Aliexpress with a 44% off first time shopper coupon. Guess it comes down to if the risk is worth it. I hate the idea of buying a shoe, even if cheaper, & fits bad & then I'm stuck with it, or have to return it on Aliexpress.
Back to NSM. Could be the shoes I currently owned the last year, but I feel like this training method allows shoes to last even longer than other methods & is maybe gentler on shoes. All the running is controlled & well below sub max efforts so you’re not getting sloppy foot strike patterns & pounding hard on your feet. Form/stride is always maintained. Could be wrong though, & impact is impact.
Yeah ... That is often overlooked .. Especially by ShoeTubers that love to rant about the price of a shoe
The thing is is that if you have a little patience any shoe will soon enough be on sale for 25-35% off .. and if you can wait a year then it will be 50% off.
Adidas Pro 4 sits currently at 33% if you can live with the Yellow or Pink version .. If you want it less loud in say black and silver then ok .. only 27% off ..
And most of us aren't SirPoc running a 5k in 15 or a marathon in 2:24, so there is that too ...
Does anyone know of a shared document or spreadsheet listing good Chinese running shoes together with direct links on Taobao and/or AliExpress? I’ve been having quite a bit of difficulty finding reliable models on Taobao and verifying whether the sellers are trustworthy. Any pointers or existing resources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Taobao is an absolute mess, I don't think they ship to the UK and I can't even register an account with a UK phone number so I gave it a pass.
Aliexpress have their November 11 sale starting next week, apparently it's their biggest on of the year so I'd appreciate any tips from the regulars on here on how to best use the coupons/discounts.

Use Mulebuy. It's what I used, and got my shoes delivered in 8 days from China with no duty charge!
Anyone have issues with arches on red hare 8 pro? I have orthotics for arch support that I wear in every shoe but when I wear the red hare 8 pro the orthotics hurt my feet, but when I don’t wear them I feel fine. Does the red hare 8 pro, or li Ning, or even Chinese shoes in general, have more built in arch support than American shoes?
