The thing is that the total time in the big graphic at the top of the page only appears to update when masterlap is completed. Seems to me a pretty pisspoor “live” recording effort in todays day and age when NB is doing all the hard yards & going to so much effort at a WR and raising $ for charity around a 400m track.

The live publishing of the 'supposed' lap crossings , even with this 'designed to deceive' master lap, will negate the need for that. Do you get the point now or do I have to explain to you what the concern is.

People on here are mostly those who have come to realisation that he might be dodgy. The cultists are on tiktok, with some of them valiantly trying here...the use of full sentences really making it hard for them to argue.

I will agree that the "master lap" format is silly and makes things harder to track, not the way I would do it. But this isn't record eligible anyways so doesn't really matter. It's a glorified fun run, just leave it at that.

I would argue that it matters even more when someone is putting a claim out there that is designed to mythologise him. This is why there is scrutiny, and rightly so. More so than with Kouros in fact, whose credentials were already known, and no need to hype up.

It would have been so easy , and much easier logistically for them, to stay in a preferred lane and send every lap live, or if you really want to do your master lap then make it easily foolproof, by staggering the timing lines in the lanes.

All of this obfuscation is designed on purpose. There will be no post run correction of missed laps, when such missed laps were planned.

...and just to separate from my post above, yesterday I came past laptop and noticed him walking about half a lap and go into portaloo. He came out five minutes later, walked to the lap start, and did the next laps at his usual metronomic 7min miles. I checked that master lap later, his walking and stop made no difference to the time, still above 8km/h

There’s so many of these things that add up to a hell of a lot over 1000 miles. Everyone runs long on any race because no one runs a perfect racing line. He’ll be short of the distance by a long way if anyone could be bothered going back through days of video and picking up every spot where they haven’t tracked adherence properly.

If there were no claims to records and immense ability, or lucrative sponsorship and merchandise deals (plastered with his face and name, not the charity) off the back of these, it wouldn’t be an issue. I’ve said before, call it what it is.

A fraud is a fraud. There’s always a charity screen for these types.

Mine has changed, entertaining, but very disappointing.

My expectations of his ability were low, I've seen him at races.

But I thought there would be a lot more precision involved in the preparation and execution.

Not that anyone needs more ammo… but if you watch when he runs the bend furthest from the cameras, he cuts the course every time. By a long way. I just watched him do a couple of laps in lane 4 which he turned the far bend in lane 2.

He’d be so far short on the course it’s not funny.

Yeah I noticed it getting progressively worse on Day 2. I thought jeez he must be tired and wobbly, but interestingly his fatigue only causes him to stray inside the lanes, never outside.

But presumably it's OK to cheat, positive only, he's built different, he's the GOAT

and the fatigue only hits on the bend furthest away from the people and cameras. Every lap

He instantly corrects coming into the straight past the cameras though so must be doing okay. Good news. Positive vibes only please.

Let's be honest, Nedd's fanbase is largely composed of bogan meatheads and people who do not know anything about running. You can see this by the half-brains who come into this thread to defend him.
I think he's alienated all actual runners by claiming he was going for the record.
