The 3rd quarter of Notre Dame-Duke was by far the most entertaining thing I have seen this season. And they are undoubtedly the most entertaining team. When Westbeld came back, Ivory Latta said every Notre Dame game should be a must-see TV show, and she was absolutely right.
USC pretty entertaining too but I agree this team with the starting five they have may be the team to beat come Tournament time. I was a little surprised how well Duke played against them in the first half. their defense can be tough to deal with and they didnt look intimidated at all. turned them over a lot and made them look sluggish. but the Irish took it to another level in the second half, mostly with tough defense of their own. Duke couldnt even get a shot off half the time. they were completely overwhelmed. Hidalgo is an absolute menace on defense. its like she exists in a higher speed dimension than anybody else. ive seen her come from behind on a player who was running full speed down the court, run a circle around her and just take the ball from her like shes frozen in place. when you witness things like that, its not hard to see how she averages north of 4 steals a game...

In other words, running full speed is equal to frozen in place. And I thought I was lacking in top-end speed.

yeah, Hannah Hidalgo is that guy who could run 5Ks as fast as you but could also run a 21.5 200. thats as close of an analogy that I could come up with and it probably still doesnt do her justice. that being said, props to Duke for knocking them out of the ACC Tournament the other day.

The NBA was not profitable in its first 3 decades. The WNBA can become "profitable" if the NBA cared.

Exactly, along with extremely sloppy and very poor ball handling. but they dont call it that, they call it "great defense". Anyone with ANY basketball IQ can sit and watch the game and see it isnt great defense, its very poor ball skills that are leading to bad shots and a million turnovers.
