I don't think you understand track that well. There is a world of difference in going from a 100 m to an 800 m race. Going from a hurdle or flat 400 m is easier. I also said "with specific training I don't doubt she ... could run under 2:00.
In Jack Daniels book he lists a 54.0 second 400 m as equivalent to a 1:58.8 800 m run. I agree with his assessment.
