You whiny bitches will complain about anything. Embarrassing.

Lmao. An elected official? He's a professional distance runner who said he only wanted to answer questions about the race. He even put up with Gault's continued harrassing questions. Galen is paid to race, he is at the race, he wants to talk about the race. You need to have your brain checked.
Best comment on this entire thread. I've been waiting all week for the judgmental LR posters to begin their idiotic comments. They may end up being correct when all is said and done, but right now they just can't wait for the process to sort out all the facts. And let's make sure we make a question dodging comment paralleled with President Drumph. Pathetic.

It is my firm opinion that Galen Rupp is twice the man, or human, of any of the virtue signaling pile on artists in this forum and on any other forum. Rupp minds his own business, and is a devoted Catholic, husband, and father. He is also arguably our greatest distance runner ever. Maybe he isn't but there is a colorable argument that he is. Therefore, he was bound to be ridiculed and scorned. It's an old, old story and way over the collective heads of the intellectually dishonest and emotional cowards who have sustained this ridiculous witch hunt. I am comforted to know that there is a silent majority of decent people who see this and those who have been carrying on the rumors, lies, and innuendo for years, for trash that it is and the whining cowards that they are.
He’s white, so according to Americans (aka self destructive self loathers) he is evil.

Please, if you’re in Chicago on the course tomorrow, heckle this snake. If you can’t see the lies and deceit in his voice you are tone deaf.
Thank you Mr. Gault. Expose him more tomorrow.
Yup. The NYT has shown us that real journalism is dead. And anyone who thinks the hackers at LRC are journalists is sadly mistaken.
In a world ruled by truth and logic you really couldn't.
In a world ruled by emotion and narratives you can do, say, and believe whatever you like.

What didn't you like? He replied to all the questions including the stupid ones. What's wrong with you LRCers?
Anybody who is intelligent can see that Galen Rupp is being deceptive here. Sad to see this.
I'm not a fan of his but even I can see he answered really well. Only morans would make comments publicly on things that are before a court. My respect for him actually went up a point.
Lol so everyone complains that we're all racist here as we accuse all blacks and browns of doping but we also accuse all whites too. Phail much?

The contrast with Jordan Hasay is stark. I was a fan of hers, and I still am.

This would never slide with an elected official, and while being a professional runner isn't the same as that, you do owe something to your fans if you want them to root for you through this scandal.
Bravo to Jonathan Gault and the other reporters for asking the questions and at least attempting to not let him get away with ducking.
Let me what you expected or wanted him to say at a press conference on the eve of a marathon?
Btw, I thought this was one of his best interviews -or at least a typical Rupp interview.

He's been Test Subject #1 for dozens of "grey area" doping tests over the last 15+ years so of course those questions will be hard for him to answer. He's not a brash A-Hole like Lance Armstrong that will just get in your face and be a d-bag when answering doping questions. Due to his shy personality and all the micro-doping he's done during his career, it's going to be tough on him ever giving a comfortably rehearsed answer to those type questions going forward.
Winning post.
I don't know how you can watch this interview and remain a fan of Galen Rupp
Remain???
No need to try to bring FACTS into the equation here. Remember who comments on these boards 99.99% of the time: former D1 runners and coaches who never made it (see Rojo & Wejo) - so now they trash and belittle any successful US Distance runner, particularly the most successful - Galen Rupp.
It's really sad. And really holding back the progression of the sport.
Just watched it. Nothing wrong with the interview. Ya he's not as charismatic as Hasay, but we knew that already. Did you expect him to become Mr. Personality all of sudden?
What I found remarkable about Hasay's interview is that she said she hasn't had any contact--personal or professional--with Salazar since the ruling because it wasn't clear what's permissible under USADA rules.
Hint: USADA can't dictate who you get to be friends with or associate with personally. And, if somehow they acquired this power, we would be morally required to rebel against it.
As far as Galen's interview... boring as usual. That doesn't alter the reality that he's one of America's most dominant (whether doped or not) distant runners.
As a spectator, I'd like more frankness, but he probably wants to remain non-committal.
Also, I really found Kipchoge's interviews distasteful. Maybe it's because English isn't hist native language, or maybe it's a cultural thing, or maybe it's just him, but the whole crap about #nolimits and the empty rhetoric surrounding it? Hard pass. It wasn't the moon landing, it's not a symbol for boundless human potential, it's a cool time trial that may demonstrate humans are slightly faster than what many may have believed yesterday.

No. USADA said no. No evidence of actions requiring a sanction on Rupp. There is no such thing as a Grey area ,it is just stuff made up in your mind . If you want "Grey Area" , that would be NAZ Elite pretending 2018 Ban doper Chipangama wasn't part of the team. Even though Josh Cox said " Coach Rosario is going to Rio to coach him. Josh Cox owes the running community an apology.
