Big congrats to Courtney and Emma, both looked great. And Courtney's interview with NBC was so gracious, too.
does anyone know why some bibs have different color highlights or backgrounds on them?
The guys on NBCSN are doing the same thing we did on our podcast. They are missing teh big story. Only 3 minutes into the race did they talk about Jakob. See our QOD on the front page. You need to lead with that.

At least she's decent as far as her commentating skills go. She added some explanation for her injury: hip marrow edema that had a somewhat unknown recovery time, so it might have been okay by race day, but might not. Ended up not, but sounded like something that was unpredictable enough that she had a decent reason to hold out hope until the last minute.
Do a google search. Average recovery time is 6-12 months. This was not a day to day issue.
The guy in the blue singlet at the back of the pack seems to have knee length shorts on.
Most athletes have said weather isn't too bad on the track due to A/C.
A big name should go out of this one as only 5 makes the final and they were 13:46 pace at 3200.
There are 3 packets of Kenyan/Ethiopian expats and they are surprisingly loud in the stadium. Much better atmosphere than I thought and they like the distances.

She's sitting as the 6th and final time qualifier right now. If anyone besides the top 3 runs faster than that, she's out.
Just kidding, I viewed 'NR' as a 'Q' for some reason. She's eliminated regaredless. But a great race for her!
Did you also read 'PB' as 'NR'?
What happened with Wanders?

That is the question.
Or did he try to run in a lane where there wasn't any space?
