That said, I respect that Semenya has always played within the rules as they existed, and she's a great athlete and competitor. I also don't think that it's any tremendous injustice to normal-T athletes to have to compete just one more time against Semenya. This race isn't for a medal or a diamond league title. It's effectively an exhibition. And I'm sure now that the rules are going into effect, and the other women feel vindicated, they can afford to be a bit magnanimous in Semenya's last race.
Semenya is not a great competitor. He seemed to be always sandbagging, just running enough to win. A great competitor would look for better, fairer competition. If he were a great competitor he would compete with those like him and not against those he has an unfair advantage over.
Semenya did: niyonsaba and wambui. Speaking of, how'd you like to be wambui, and still getting smacked around?
