And no, just talking to a completely random girl out of the blue isn't that weird if you're not weird about it yourself. I've done it multiple times, most girls are usually happy to have a conversation with you and are generally nice about it. If she isn't then she's either having a bad day or is just a b*tch which in that case she can go bug off.

Yeah, not talking to her and just fantasizing about what she's like in your mind 24/7 and staring at her from affair and then going and telling a running forum about your desire to f*ck with her is DEFINITELY less creepy than just going up to her and initiating a conversation lul. That's sarcasm for you by the way in case you couldn't tell.

Just talk to her. Trust me. I've talked to multiple attractive girls who were complete strangers. None of them thought I was weird or a creep and all of them were very nice to talk to/enjoyed the conversation. Most girls are like this. They aren't going to bite your head off for just trying to have a conversation with them.

I’ve spent the last hour writing a script of what we’re going to talk about. After dinner, when she’s walking back to her room, I’m going to approach her. It will only be a little bit dark. Will it look really weird if I’m flipping through pages while talking to her? I don’t have a great memory, and there are a lot of scenarios for what she might say. Wish me luck.

Hey guys! Guess what? i did it! I talked to the girl. Woooo! I can't believe I did it! Thanks for all the help and support guys! I honestly probably would not have been able to do it without your support.

Let me tell you how it went down. So I saw this girl at dinner just a little while ago and in my head I'm freakng out. But then I just remembered all you guys telling me to go for it. So I overcome the fear and go up to her. I say "hi, I wanted to know your name, I see you around all the time. You're that girl on the softball team right?" She smiles, tells me her name and we start talking a bit. I was so scared but I just rolled with it.

Eventually I wanted to ask her out so I gently put my hand on her back and said "hey we should get coffee sometime..." and we exchanged numbers. At this point I can't help myself so I run my hand through her hair and gently fondle her cheek. I tell her "it's a date!" and then give her a hug and leave. She seemed a little weirded out but nothing to bad. I think she likes me!

I don't care. You might as well be the same person at this point. If you're too scared to talk to her and would rather just live out your fantasy of dating her in your head then do that instead. Cool. But then don't start crying when you see her with some other guy later.

If you approached your running career with the same degree of fear, timidity, vacillation, and cluelessness that you're using to (not) approach this woman, you'd be as much of a disaster on the track as you are off of it.

From what I understand you're not comfortable with talking to her out of the blue because you're not used to have to make the first move since you're very good-looking yourself and get plenty of dating opportunities. Thing is : she's also very attractive AND she's a woman, so she's very likely in the same mindset, totally not used to make the first move and expecting you to do it. From what you write, I honestly think she has noticed you and she's interested (You see her often = she knows where and when to see you, eye-contact then pretend to ignore = I want him to do the move. Believe me, I'm a woman...) and waiting for you.

Like I said earlier, just go talk to her and do your best. Really, there's no need to do anything spectacular. If she's interested in getting to know you better, she'll be totally fine with a very simple "Hi, I'm X, I think you're new here, ..."

That's out of your comfort zone, but you can do it. The best adventures are always those out of the comfort zone. So, you know what to do. Just take a good breathe, wear your most beautiful genuine smile and go for it.

So I didn’t get up the nerve to talk to her last night. But I did the next best thing. I went online and looked for an escort that looks quite a bit like her. She came over, and read through my planned conversation that I had written. She thought it was perfect, and then we fooled around a little. I think I can really talk to the girl now (the real one, not the escort). Should I tell her I hooked up with an escort that looks like her now, or wait until we’re in a relationship?

To your first part, I am also not very outgoing, and not someone who will just make friends with everyone / approach everyone. I tend to keep to the friends I make on my team, and then friends of friends. I have opportunities but don't pursue each one because I am generally picky with who I get with.

I don't really know about the whole eye contact thing because I feel as if me looking makes her look back. And almost as if she's forced to look because I am probably staring.

She's definitely noticed me, but sometimes if I catch myself staring / looking at her in public, dining hall, etc. I am waiting for her to see if I am in the same place, and sometimes she completely 'ignores' that.

It is really out of my comfort zone, and I honestly just don't know if I can do it (hence why I made this thread). Really losing confidence as well towards this to the point where I am soon to try and forget about it..to be completely honest.
