It'd be nice if it wasn't raining (just for the sake of having bigger crowds and a not being soaked the entire race). But warm rain doesn't really impact performance. Wind does.

East is a headwind.
If the temperature gets warmer, it means the air is coming from the south or the west, so a tailwind is possible.
Currently one forecast I look at has the wind changing from E (headwind) to SW (tailwind) around noon/ early afternoon. Hence, could go either way. Predicted temps are close to ideal, but they are also quite uncertain. I actually like a drizzle if it's in the 50s.

This is the kind of out-of-the-box thinking I like to see around here!
Everyone stop worrying about the weather. Very few races have ideal conditions. If you are tough you will finish, and everyone you are competing against will be running in the same stuff.
This looks more like Chicago last year and less like Boston 2018... No matter what I'm running. I'll wear thin merino layer under my jersey to keep me warm when wet. We all be fine;)

Yeah, I noticed that. As long as it stays below 65 I'm not as concerned about the temps. I'm just really pulling for the winds to be favorable.
I asked a friend about taking a later bus as well. I'm in the first wave, but why not minimize my time in the Athlete's village? If i don't make it to my corral at 10:02, I wouldn't be too far behind.

NWS Boston this afternoon. Possible 40s with heavy rain . Temps surging into the 60s afternoon south of the Mass Turnpike . Keep your eyes open . This could be a wet nasty day again .
Someone last year told me that east coast weather usually locks in. Unlike Seattle weather, which can change on a dime. Is this true?

3 days out and both Weather Channel and accuweather.com has it in the low 60's and a SW wind (which is favorable) and rain.
Consistents over the last week have been rain and winds
Inconsistents have been the wind direction and the temperature.
The winds have turned for the better
The temperature is getting borderline too warm.
