I used their Chi Marathon weather page last year and it looks like it is updated for this year. You can put in your wave # and finishing time to see forecast at S, Half, F.

That's a great tool! I like that they had my goal time of 2:00:00 pre-selected as well.

+1. Gotta love seeing a predicted dew point of 29 F. We haven’t seen a dew point under 68 F in months around here.
The combined temp and dew point at the start are lower than any temperature that I've run in all summer in Florida.
We may all need to be careful not to blow our loads early.
Tailwind: 8% of the Course
Headwind: 22% of the Course

Better than the 100% headwind we had in Boston.

Cooling crosswind 70% of the course!
If winds are 10 mph, the headwind will essentially be a non-issue. 10 mph winds may have some detrimental effect, but in a large field, you will never feel them. I think you said you are expecting to be in 3:00-3:10 range, so you will never end up outside of a crowd during the race.
I would sign up for the forecasted weather for every race for the rest of my life if given the opportunity. It may not be perfect, but it is pretty damn close, and is closer to perfect than any of us get 90% of the time.

And so the weather takes a turn...
Accuweather is still saying 51/62, while TWC is now saying 56/67. I’d like it a bit cooler but neither are terrible.
Agreed. Just finished 10 miles and when I got home at 10:00 am it was 86 with a 77 dew point. Finishing at 60 with a 35 degree dew point would be a dream come true.
Did anyone else notice they tweaked the course this year?
Looks like it goes a couple blocks further north in the first half, the stretch from Halsted to Chinatown is a little different, and at mile 23 you turn north on Indiana and run a half mile or so on that before jogging back over to Michigan.

Just in a couple spots. Not noticeable difference though.
Weather is trending in the wrong direction...low/high on AccuWeather is 63/72. Fingers crossed it doesn't get any worse. Usually it's a little cooler in the morning when you look at something like AccuWeather so it could be high 50s at the start if that were to hold.

The best thing about being skinny and slow is that there are always larger people to draft behind ?.
But seriously, the forecast is going in the wrong direction.
Yeah. Upper 40s was too good to be true. The next few days are critical.

Dark Sky is reporting a 71% chance of rain between 6-8am on race day. Low 60s thus far.
Also, do you want me to shout gobble gobble mf-er too at mile 23?

Yes. Of course. Look for the shirtless giraffe. A high five would also be nice if you can position yourself on a tangent.

Look for the fat elderly homosexual wearing Hoka’s and his Turkey Trot 5k shirt.
