We are seeing what we saw with Tommie Smith, even in the 100m. Smith was outerwordly when it came to being able to maintain/sustain his topend longer than a mere mortal. You'd swear he was getting faster and faster and then there was the tape.
Lyles has that same sluggish start in a 100m just like Smith but Smith was really bad getting going and then here he came. If he'd had even a "good" start he's holding all the sprint records.
Can Lyles break the American record with a 19.31?
Michael Norman is also a 200m sprinter you should know that.
