1. Michael Jordan...He was the best player in history of his sport, who played his best, not only in the finals, but in the final minutes of the finals OVER and OVER. Whether it be with his amazing scoring ability-the man took over the game at will, his team leadership, or his defense. The most amazing performance that I have ever seen in sports is when he played a whole game with a 103 degree fever during the finals against Utah in '97(?) The guy looked woozy and pasty and had to be literally held up by his teammates during timeouts. Yet, he dominated that game and scored 34 points and made the clutch shots in the fourth. That is just one example of so, so many clutch performances by this very talented man with a gigantic will to win no matter what.
2. Tiger Woods...The best player in HIS sport(if he keeps it up and surpasses Jack Nicklaus for Major titles). He has played his best in the biggest tourneys on the final days. He was in a slump for awhile, but has seemed to have his swing back.
3. John Elway...Amazing clutch drives one after another.
4. Mariano Rivera...0.25 ERA!!!!! Until 2001 World Series the guy was un-frickin-hittable!
5. Larry Bird
6. Al Oerter...Thanks for the history lesson-Wow!
7. The Jewish Holocaust Boxer...probably should be rated higher but I am still digesting that amazing story.
8. Joe Montana...You knew what was coming in the fourth quarter.
9. Gretzky...Of course.
10. Carl Lewis
