Nice to see her off the track and on the roads. She can gain some confidence back and make a far better living on the roads as a pro vs track.

There are so many possibilities as to why she's no longer wearing the NOPR singlet
- maybe reductions are kicking in and she's not happy about it.
- maybe she was very upset when she moved home last year and didn't want to run it in then but thought it would be too big of PR splash so she slowly did it.
- maybe Salazar and the NOP doesn't want her to wear it as she's not running very fast.

We still don't know why Ritz stopped competing in the NOP singlet when he moved home do we? I've heard gossip about that but have never asked him. I guess I'll ask him next time I see him. Maybe he can shed some light on the Cain situation.
He's coaching himself and lives in Michigan, so why would he compete in a NOP uniform?

A great runner can run many distances but his/her body type and physiology will dictate for which distance he/she has the greatest potential.
Talked to her at the Mayors Cup today. She seemed really upbeat and happy. She didn't seem very comfortable in her form. Looked heavy (I mean appearance wise but more importantly in the way she ran).

Gale force winds earlier today in Boston might keep overall times down. Of course that would slow down the whole field, not just Cain.
I admit that I was really impressed by Cain when she blew the field away at the US Indoor after an amazing mile in New York. She appeared to be the class of the US women at that moment although Jenny Barringer wasn't running during that indoor season. She hasn't approached that form since, but she has won a world junior championship and had some great life experiences. Even if she never reaches the goals many expected, she will still have accomplished a lot as a runner.

1-2 have 15:28 and 15:22 PRs, respectively. And 2nd won USATF Club XC championships last year.
I guess there is nothing really else to say here apart from we'll have to wait to see if we get more news as to why.

In talking to her last year in Portland before the Trials she seemed genuinely happy and upbeat about the future. She was also way more mature than in the past. I was impressed.

She's basically training under the guy that Alberto hired to supervise her workouts in HS. Seems like she's doing exactly what she did in HS. Except she's older and unfortunately slower.
It's a fresh slate because she is doing mentally what she wants to be doing.
She is no longer trying to work in what Alberto wants her to work in. He may have tried to change her form. Henwood is in charge of her training now. Now this may have been the case for the last year but she's settled on the East Coast and willing to public say as much.
