A few corrections needed here, one, Peloquin was 9th last year so she's been healthy despite how extremely under weight she is, and two, Allie did not have a decline in performance indoors, in fact she had some of the fastest times ever for college level and American junior.

I wish her a speedy recovery, and, most importantly, a full recovery.
No way of knowing, she just might be very tiny like the east Africans. Look at Ritz he is built like the east Africans, very fragile though. I hope Allie O. has a bright future, but the college racing schedule in general is very tough and I hope they don't over race her once she is healthy again.

I would bet that eating disorders are much more 'prevalent' across the general population. Just take a look around at the mall. Obesity is FAR more 'prevalent' across the general population than eating disorders leading to anorexia among NCAA XC ladies.
Of course, we don't want anyone to have an eating disorder (to obesity or anorexia), but it is far from a 'problem' among NCAA ladies. Watching the race, I can't imagine that more than 1% are too far underweight. Almost all look fit and strong (a few overweight as well).
I agree with the OP that Brenna and Allie look fit and in good shape.
