Semenya has considered herself a woman her whole life and has been considered by her community to be one as well (a "masculine" one, but a woman no less), and she was told she could compete in the women's division and so she is. I am completely open to any evidence that there is a sinister motive, but I haven't seen any.
What someone considers themselves to be is a personal choice that should be determined by no one but that individual.
What someone biologically is is not determined by anyone, has nothing to do with opinion, and is not up for debate. In the case of sex a person either has a Y or does not.
The "journalist" writing whatever it is they are writing would call that bigoted. Which means they have a real issue with facts of any kind.
