It's another easy give away. When faced with questions which you can easily answer with conclusive evidence, you don't just start threatening to sue. I am now almost convinced this is a just a bunch of frat boys boozing on a x-country road trip and one of them is claiming to have run the whole, well, just because you have to believe him. Like his Wikipedia page, it's there so you just have to believe it.

Just to be clear. This excerpt from his blog is before I started this thread, so it would not be a response to this, but it does indicate there is plenty of doubt, and maybe other similar experiences out there.

You hit the nail on the head... he/they figured this would be easy to execute because who in their right mind is really going to check? As long as he registers the completion with little suspicion its a win for him.

Honestly, having closely followed multi-day races in person and afar (including the current world best for 3100 miles in the longest certified footrace in the world at the Self Transcendence 3100 in Queens, NYC), his body type doesn't shock me. But his springiness in a number of his pictures is rather shocking, or would be if putting up the mileage he claims. The greatest multi-day runners in history including Schwerk, Kouros, Aalto, Ukraynski, look nothing like Messr Young. They all had different strides, body types, etc but were different from one another... within reason.

Yes. Frank is still the record holder. I am friends with Marshall Ulrich who tried to beat his record in 2008 (I think) and finished with what was then the 3rd fastest crossing.
His Wikipedia reads like 99% bullshit. Lots of checkable facts in there though.

He's definitely rounding into peak form after running halfway across a continent to drop the 30+ pounds of reserve weight he built up for this run.
He's got a book too. Simon and Schuster published it.
I'm pretty sure his 96 marathon distance+ race wins in 420 days includes a large number of single-day marathon "races" from the 2015 USA transcontinental race, which his website describes as a "117 back to back race series across America".
If you look at the data from that race he did win many of the single-day stages against ~6 to ~20 other runners, at least about half of which were attempting the full race series. Most of the winning times are > 4hrs for ~26.5 miles.
So it's kind of true? But not at all what most people would assume it means, and very lame to declare without qualification.
