Heath is solid and did some nice work against Mo's tactics and the Britpack. Hats off to Fauble; he's been consistent since punching tickets at NCAA (2012: 26th, 2013: 13th, 2012: 12th). A budding Marathon crusher!

No. No. No. No. The whole short course think killed it off. It used to be, "who is the best?" then it was set up to try to get mid-d runners to run it and guess what, the same guy often one both (Bekele).
I believe they are moving it down to 10k from 12k. It's only 2k more than what Heath ran today. World XC is going to be 10k for men and women I believe?

Very muddy and soft underfoot. a few short, sharp hills and a stream to cross
Now we know what Farah is capable of clean. He'll commence his drug cycle now. Props to Heath for owning this race again.
It was tough, the British 3:35 guys were running 2:45 for the 1km relays earlier on.
Heath is the master of strength running on uneven surfaces. Has he ever attempted the steeple? Throw some hay bales on the track and he would be awesome.

I have run the course often. Compared to US cross country courses, Edinburgh is vertiginous, super steep hills and declines. Running it is almost a different sport from the usual racing done by Farah and the others.
Anyone know anything more about Faubl? That dude is a stud. I thought he was off the back of the lead pack 3-4 times and it was huge when he made his move to the lead. No doubt he helped pump up Heath for the win.
Has anybody else in the world beaten Farah, Kiprop, and Bekele? Crazy too is that I think he has never lost to Farah or Kiprop, probably got beaten by Bekele at world cross a few years back but not sure.
If you could say, "I am 3-0 against Bekele, Farah and Kiprop," that would make you king ding a ling.

The historical distance has always been 12km.
Making the women's distance the same 12km would be the best move.

Seriously, he should run a steeple at mt. Sac or something just to see if he has the aptitude. Do a jager and pick it up in the Olympic year
Why doesn't the U.S. run it's a team or even it's b team for the Men's Senior race I mean I would love to see what King Ches,Rupp and so on could do in this race.

10k for men is good. Having women run farther is just a terrible idea.

I think I get it. #1 beat him when he finished. Then #2 beat him when he finished. But since #2 finished AFTER, he claimed a victory over Mo AFTER #1 did. So he's the last to beat Mo.
