I've already told her several times, it's why my other friend quit too, he tried saying sorry so that she'd listen to him on why we should have long and slower repays with less rest but she just talks about how she knows what she's doing and that she has books/ magazines that we can read about it... She said she wants us to learn the pace doing 400s the moving up to 800s and etc... I just dedicated a lot of time to trying to be good so it's extremely frustrating... I always tell her tho and she just basically says I'm wrong ...
I hate to break it to you, but you do--in fact--sound like a cancer to the team. I would cut you too.
It does sound like your coach does know what she's doing.
1.) She's providing sources of information for you to learn the spot. Borrow those books & magazines she's talking about. Then, you can be informed about her training system.
2.) She has a progression in her overall system too. "She wants us to learn the pace [by] doing 400's, then moving up to 800's, and ect." That's a very good coaching approach used by many coaches, including Brad Hudson.
You think you know what you're doing because you found letsrun.com, but your immaturity & self-righteous attitude smacks of someone who can tear a team apart.
Furthermore, your rallying your teammates around you in some juvenile revolt is doing nothing but showing your true colors.
You did wrong. There are consequences. Get over yourself. Move on.
I do hope that you will--at some point in your life--reflect back on this moment with a better clarity & understanding, & see that the coach was doing the right thing for the team & for YOU.
