Correct me if I'm wrong, but the release dates I'm finding for this movie are either 2008 or 2009. The LRC post was made in 2007...I wonder if the movie took from the post or the post from the movie or if they reached the same phrase separately?

- November of 2007 The Turkey Trot Victory thread was started.

- December of 2008 ThanksKilling was released.

So I would say that the letsrun thread was first. Although it is possible that an early trailer of the movie was floating around youtube a year before the release date.

I assumed the movie was from the early 80s. The guy who posted on that thread probably worked on the set of that epic feature film and borrowed the phrase.

When it happens in cycling, I set my bike down where it won't get damaged and I grab the guy through the car door and drag him through it and throw him on the ground and stand over him with my cleats and I tell him, "You can either say sorry and get back in your car, or your wife can watch me beat you bloody."

If they give me any garbage, I don't beat them up, I grab the keys from the ignition and throw them in the gutter. If they initiated the problem by yelling at you, or swerving at you, the Prosecutor will side with you and advise them to not press charges. They will never win in court if they initiated the problem. I have been through this five times (with the Prosecutor). The wife is usually screaming and calling the police at this point and they are usually so embarrassed that they caused a problem that they go looking for the keys and say they were wrong and slink back in to the car.

I can usually beat someone who is 180-240 lbs ... 90% of the time they are intimidated that someone wouldn't take their crap. If they are much bigger than that, they are just too fat and slow to hurt me, I wouldn't let someone like that get close enough to hurt me. You just stay on your bike and mock them.
