This is not speculation, it's been put in practice in other parts of the Web in which I participate and the results are unambiguous. No one sacrifices anonymity, and most people are too shiftless to create one-off usernames just to let fly with something sufficiently racist or hateful to invite a banning. You are fully aware of, and presumably even comprehend, these points.
I'd love to know of websites that somehow allow anonymity but with minimallly evasive registration. Please shoot me an email so I can get examples of this as we are looking into solutios like that but just are starting.
