I don't follow the NFL closely, but off the top of my head, lets see:
Ray Lewis most likely committed murder.
Aaron Hernandez did.
Michael Vick was breeding pit bulls for fighting.
Some Dolphin player got kicked off his own team for hazing his own teammates so badly.
Ray Carruth, Sebastian Janikowski, and that fat overpaid lineman for the Redskins.
Lewis, Vick, Carruth, and the others didn't play tonight.
I know most of what is going on here is trolling but every team that has ever lost has been bitter and every team that has ever won has gloated. It's impossible not to look at the game through the lens of what you want to happen. Sherman takes it to an extreme but he is simply saying to the media what is said on every play of every NFL game. If you don't like him that's fine but if you dig even a tiny bit into any team you can a find reason to love or hate them. If players being classy is more important to you than being good take a close look at Russel Wilson, one of the classiest players in the NFL and a huge underdog in an individual sense. He constantly is visiting kids at the children's hospital in Seattle and is really an all around great guy and football player. Check this out also:
When you generalize about a whole team or city it makes you seem intolerant and is completely unfair. We all have a right to root for whoever we want to but things are never as black and white as most people want to be.
It's a systemic problem across the NFL.

Sorry, I read the first page of this post and don't understand this post. I know Richard Sherman is a football player, but what is this all about? Never heard of him before this post. Did he kill someone? Was he caught with drugs?
I'm starting to think Richard Sherman is the greatest troll ever. Seems like he gets off riling people like the average letsrun poster off. It's amazing how much it upsets people when someone in the limelight doesn't act the way the white middle class wants them to. This is part of the NFL and just about all major sports the world over. I'm sure everyone who plays cricket is a class act though, therefore it's the greatest sport ever.

To those from Seattle responding that you didn't know who Sherman (s star on your Super Bowl bound football team) was, and had to look up him and this "incident" - you are the ones painting Seattle-ites in a poor light. 12th man my arse.
Seattle is a pretty crappy city. Not as bad as Washington, D.C., but it's in the bottom 10 in the U.S.
He won't be in that new NIKE shoe commercial again. That is for sure. NIKE must be embarrassed.
Don't any of you follow football? Really follow it. More than just playoffs. More than just games period. It's all an act. A charade. A gimmick. An attention ploy. If you followed football you would know he is in fact very intelligent and articulate. During a midweek press conference you can see/hear that. Gameday his alter ego comes out. Now I would not be surprised at all if his little act might be unconsciously morphing into reality since his act has been going on for a while. But there is two sides of RS and one is all act. No kidding. He did graduate from Dominquez High School in Compton,California so the standards were incredibly low. His high school ranks 1 on a 10 scale in California. Their test score results are absolutely abysmal.
