It should work. Salazar can pull out the NOPe IV just before the gun. They can get huge fans set up to only turn on when at her back.

I really would have liked to support this chick but she's been a NOPer for only a week and is already turning evil.

I am sure Alberto and a team of folks have analyzed this far better than we can and Alberto gets it right about 90% of the time. I also know there are no easy solutions and this option is about as good as any, but getting the standard under these circumstances is going to be close to impossible. Jordan will be running her 4th 10K in about 2 months and each one has been an all out effort. Based on her 5K PR and previous 10Ks, I would say she is probably close to her physical capabilities and can Jordan or anyone mentally get up for this race and set a PR is a somewhat staged situation?

My personal opinion is Paula Radcliff's marathon world record should have an asterisk, running with men pacer is a performance enhancer, which also tells you I'm not a fan of mixed races. However, under the current circumstances and the magnitude of what's at stake, I would never allow my personal opinion to deny an athlete an opportunity so long as it is within the rules. (Who on this board would do that?)

Personally, I would have asked Monaco to add a women's 10K, which should be doable since there are only about a dozen or so women in the world who have it. From memory, no American male or female who did not have the 10K A standard after the U.S. trials, got it before the Olympics or WC. That's the reason why athletes try to get it the year before or in the spring. - I have a lot of respect for what Alberto and Jordan have accomplished, but if they can pull this off, the respect goes up another notch.

My personal opinion is that radcliffe should be in prison for PEDs. On moral grounds, just about everything salazar does is suspect. Just because it is legal doesn't make it right. It is legal in Saudi Arabia to behead a rape victim because she technically commited adultery. Salazar says haters gonna hate, I say cheaters gonna cheat.

Are you kidding? They have not all been all-out efforts.

The track at Roosevelt has undegone a major renovation, and will be a fine veune, with a curb. The google map is out of date.

Oh, thank you for that update. I was a bit worried about the shape of it.

She didn't run the 10,000 in the NCAA Champs, she didn't qualify at said West Prelims. She ran the 5000 at the champs.

If I'm not mistaken, Pre still has until July something to make the B standard. Salazar working on putting together a mixed zombie-living 5000. Rumor has it that Pre has dropped lots of weight and is ready to throw down.

Exactly...this just goes to show the horrible side of our sport when people are on here complaining about a coach trying to do everything within his power, completely legally, to get the best athletes to worlds to represent us.

What true fan of the sport would not want to see them go to worlds? People are letting their Salazar hating and/or Hasay hating to get in the way of their common sense.

We just can't win. When we suck at distance running, everyone complains. When we have people trying to make us the best we can be, people complain about the advantages. Common denominator, people just like the complain and a huge % of them seem to be on letsrun.
