Wang on 5? Wang would lap everyone (except Dibaba) on this list in a 10,000.

No mention of Waldemar Cierpinski, one of only two double OG Marathon runners? Pre shouldn't be in any Top 10 list, never won an international title.
Chirpy was doped to the gills. Should have been stripped of his medals.....and no, I'm not that much of a Shorter fanboi

You have checked the facts very carefully, havn't you?
How can a list of the greatest runners of all time not include Henry Rono?
In 1978, Rono broke the world record in the 10,000m, 5,000m, 3,000m and the 3,000m steeplechase. He did it in 81 days.
No one in history has ever done this before. No one will ever do it again.

The fact that it is generally agreed now that he (Rupp) is capable of running in the 12:40s and 26:20s should serve as a testament to just how far he has come.
Generally agreed? By whom? You?

Are you really that dumb or blinded by Rupp's d*ck in your mouth? POW!
I'll reply to your rubbish post by just stating that you should ask Rupp to run the 3500 meter race so he can claim to have the WR.
This is the second post in which you have referred to Rupp's dick being in my mouth.
Do you have some sort of homoerotic fantasy for him?
Where was Chuck Engle on the list?
THE greatest marathoner of all time.

Bingo!
What about Bolt? Does his dominance in the sprints mean nothing? His WRs, his golds, his popularity, his unforgettable personality. By the way, I think 4x more kids have a Bolt poster in their room than a Pre one.
"He is faster over 3000m indoors than Bekele"
Is that all you can come up with? Four tenths of a second. Dude really, you need to back off of Rupp's jockstraps. I've seen you accuse just about everyone on this list except Rupp. You honestly believe Alberto, Mo, and Rupp are 100% pure while everyone else is 100% dirty. Seems like a very childish presumption. And one more thing, does your lover boy Rupp have a 3000m indoor world title/olympic gold medals? Wake me up when he gets one, until than LOL.
CAththerine n Ndereba retired because she finished 22nd place 2:35:09 in nagoya marathon. she decided she dont want to lose so badly.
Ha! Pre beats out Tergat...and Komen!? Who is Scott Jurek? Putting Dean K in the same list as Wanjiru and Tergat = hi-larious! Let the hijinks ensue.
Said Aouita didn't even get an honorable mention. He had the greatest range of any runner ever -world class from 800 to 10,000.
Folks...I really don't think that was intended to be a serious article.
It is very hard to pick a winner for the best all time runner. The best you can hope to do is pick the best long distance runner of the particular era:
For Example, Emil ZATOPECK should be considered the best long distance runner from 1948 to 1952, numerous gold medals, and several world records.
Haile Gebreselassie, was the best long distance runner from 1996 to about 2004.
When you try to pick the best runner of all time, then what should you consider, world records, gold medals, undefeated runner, as Herb Elliot was, then it becomes very hard, and it becomes to subjective.
In my view sprinting, although it is running, should be a separate category. We can pick the best sprinter each era, Usain Bolt would be the best from 2008 to 2012. Given these facts, and what you wanted to do, runners world did the best they could.

I really hope they were just messing around when they did this. Pre over Viren? Scott Jurek over Paula Radcliffe? Benoit-Samuelson over Steve Cram? Way too much bias towards American runners on this list.
[Wake me up when he gets one, until than LOL.
Until THEN. Christ, why is this so difficult?
Jurek is good but not great. Let's speak about real standouts in the history of ultrarunning. 1. Don Ritichie. Oldest running world record still standing. 100k. 2. Yiannis Kouros. Unbeatable. He'd beat Jurek by 20+ miles in an ultra. They rank on the top list or in at least the top 20. No question.
