4 lane track with two lanes added inside when they layed the all weather. Lane three is 400m per lap.
Think someone said a la Franklin Field earlier. Maybe a local landscaping contractor donated services and the turned the saving into adding two inside lanes.
Someone also said call the school and ask if you are so interested in the exact dimensions and the story.
General school swichboard numbers are published ask for custodian or track coach I guess. Or tell the operater what you want to know and have them transfer your call where they see fit.
I used to work out at Tech High in Oakland. Jump the fence and run repeat miles. After awhile, I just assumed it was WAY short. The fast times came too easily. I'd say 3 seconds per lap!
In high school, Lincoln-Sudbury regional in eastern Massachusetts, in spring of '73, I aimed to break 5:00 as a sophomore. I ran 4:57.9 in a dual meet. Hooray!
A year later, my XC coach, a math teacher, measured the track only to find it was about 5-6 yards long! He looked up how to measure by the book. So my 4:57.9 could be upgraded a few ticks...
When I search Google Maps for tracks, none of them show up. It shows a big patch of grass where the track would be but no actual track or lanes show up. Am I doing something wrong or is my computer messed up?

I have no idea what you are doing wrong, but try google earth - it has a 'path' tool to measure distances like tracks.

You don't measure tracks on Google Earth.

a 375 meter track is standard for an undersized track.
My school track was on grass and summer only. I went back recently and noticed it's on a sloping field. Whether its short or not nobody is setting fast times on that
