Mo trafeh fakes time to qualify for Nationals?

Just suck it up losers. He has the potential and he has proved it many times in high school track, professional level track and road. What else you got to say.

His friend and training partner from Morocco who got his award is the same guy sitting next to him during the meeting. If you browse through his FB pictures you will find that guy (his friend) again in his pictures. Remember Tunisia is not far from morocco (2 hours flight) and England is about 3 hours flight, why would he fly to the US and race here to satisfy you bunch of losers.

The officials scrutinize these meets more than US ones and IAAF is on top of its game. Just go out there and run some repeats maybe you can get better at running instead of giving hard time to Olympic hopefuls.

He's done 60 for a half

We know that the race lists him as running 13:32.99 on the day before the trials deadline.

People are interested having verification that it actually happened.

This is not strengthened by calling people "losers" or stating that he ran fast previously.

It is weakened by the fact that somebody else is pictured as taking 3rd place.

Things that would be useful would include: a photo of him running in the race or a picture of him collecting his 3rd place trophy (we have both of these thing for the guys who finished #1 and #2), or a non-anonymous witness to the race.

If he is not good enough he will be beaten at the trials people. Why are we hyperventilating. The trials will not lie. They will separate the wheat from the chaff.

Don't you people think USATF would look into this if they thought there was something there (or not there)?

Why the hell is 13:32.99 any more suspicious than any of the hundreds of other possible times he could have faked? Is it like, he's sitting around making up a time and he thinks, "well, I want to be under the standard, but I would just feel bad being too far under. Guess I'll just choose the slowest possible time"?

The only thing that seems odd about this is that he isn't in the podium picture.

I'm interested to see how this plays out.

I sure hope so. This has to be one of the dumbest threads ever. How in the hell could he have faked that he was there or faked his time? Do I think that he could be doped? Yes of course but faking a time/not running in a meet then having a finishing time is a little far fetched.

i love how the pics show that (1) this race is so uniportant to mo that he doesn't even wear his issued singlet from nike (wonder what they think of that) and (2) this race is so unimportant that it is held on the warm up track (as surely there is a track on the inside of the large stadium in the corner of the pics. seriously, when is usada going to put an end to this charade?

I don't think faking a race result (if that is what happened) falls under USADA's jurisdiction.

Are there any precedents for somebody faking a race result (on the track) and how that is handled? [Please don't go into all the Rosie Ruiz--Kip Litton, Chandra Bozelka stuff]. I've never heard of a manufactured track time.

The problem was just because no one followed the race, then Mo had to have faked the time. Yet the times are released by the race organizers/IAAF. If Mo was someone else, we would be celebrating his perfect run and his athletic brains that enabled him to pace himself to qualify justin time.

It seems that some people are asked to proof that they have not cheated while others are not. Short of his name and origin, I do not see why his time was even an issue. If he is not good enough then he will fail at the trials. In the long run of things with the Africans, he really does not matter at all whether he goes to London or he does not go. He we just be another bib
