Running Tights - Shorts Over or Not?

I don't like my package coming at you in 3D, so it's shorts over for me. Unlike the rest of you, I'm not blessed with a small one.

No shorts. I've always thought that looked ridiculous. Well, that and people wearing shorts of long spandex. Either wear shorts or tights, not both people.

I kind of wonder what kind of people are posting on this thread. I've not known a single guy to wear shorts over his tights since high school, and even then it wasn't the norm, and only the slower guys did it. They were also the ones wearing basketball shorts most of the time though. In fact, I can think of many elite and sub elite runners who I've seen in tights, but I've never seen one wearing shorts over their tights.

Also, you guys must be a bunch of beta-male losers. I've never heard any snide remarks regarding me in tights, and only very rarely regarding me in running shorts (usually by kids, not adults). I usually get compliments and whistles, not made fun of. ???

I still can't believe this is even a thread, let alone it's got this many responses.

I'm not talking about snide remarks, I'm talking about people yelling "Nice weiner!" at me. It's not for me, but I suppose if being an alpha male involves waving your junk in people's faces then have a blast.

I said elites and sub-elites, and for elites, most have been pictures or video, but I've seen a few pros in person wear tights. Hell, there was a thread about El G a few weeks ago with a picture of him and all his training mates running in tights.

No one I've ever run with in college wears shorts over tights, nor does any college runner I personally know. This includes 28:xx 10k guys, <4:00 milers , and sprinters.

Can any thread exist without this ridiculous "alpa" "beta" nonsense? I wear shorts until bellow zero but after that I usually wear running pants rather then tights as I find them less restrictive at fast pace. However I have been know to wear shorts over tights on occasion. See as my shorts block the wind unlike my tights and wearing them underneath would be more restrictive I prefer to wear them over if I must. You guys make it seem like people wear shorts overtop to cover their junk when rather I think that it's simply less restrictive. But overall if your tights block the wind enough you shouldn't even need shorts...
