Sequestered at some scientific research station in the Antarctic? Undergoing strange irradiation at some fast-breeder reactor? Bionic upgrades? Now a lazy fat f*ck sitting on a bedbug-infested couch somewhere?
Jeter ran at the OTC in San Diego yesterday: 11.27 I think.
She had MAJOR problems with her leg last year--first her hamstring at Mt. San, then her quad at Shanghai where she was literally helped off the track by Fraser-Pryce. Her leg was messed up all season, and she gutted it out for a bronze medal in Moscow (not healthy and not close to her best).
She shut it down for a long time to let her body heal, so 11.27 is maybe not too bad.

TOTAL coincidence that she is absent when 11 low wins diamond league races and many top names are busted. Complete coincidence.

For both Jeter and Blake, I think that's a bit of a cheap shot, even though I'm convinced that Yohan Blake is doped to the gills. With Bolt, I think it's a bit different, where there was no mention if injury, then when he was to run in DL races, he suddenly started to cancel with a foot "injury."
But both Jeter and Blake were visibly injured with video evidence. Blake's injury was considered career-threatening. Jeter could not even walk off the track by herself in Shanghai last year. The only reason she was able to compete in Moscow was that she had a free pass from being the defending world champion. She gutted it out for the team, and with Felix also down and Richards-Ross sub-par, that was the only female sprint medal the USA won at those championships. It's not yet clear whether either Jeter or Blake will ever be back to what they were.
Would Rupp do what Jeter did last year with equivalent injuries? Not a chance in hell.
Lay off Ruppy--he's not half the man Jeter is.
