When I met my wife we both liked to hike and bike, and I ran competitively. We climbed a mountain together and watched the sunrise above the clouds. She began mixing in running with a 3-mile walk. We'd do it together, and I'd run ahead 1 block, do some pushups or situps, the rejoin her. Then we trained for a half (her) and full marathon (me) in a redwood forest. We'd do a 10-mile run every weekend. She says it changed her life. She's has a 26:00 5K, mine's 16:00. Often our run is a recovery run, or the tail end of a long run for me. Sometimes it's treadmills side-by-side, so we can run how we like but be together. I have a wonderful, sweet wife.
