jamaican,kemoy campbell who ran 3:42 for 1500 at age 16 and has run a 14:18 for 5k is at south plains junior college, he was 2nd in the national junior college (njcaa) xc meet. he said he plans to transfer to oklahoma state, he ran 24:33 on the oklahoma state course 4-5 seconds behind colby lowe and german fernandez.
If I had to guess on Driggs, I'd bet a good amount of money he is going to Wisconsin.
As for the popular topic of Lukas Verzbicas, I have an interesting proposition. I think there is a chance he could go to Colorado. Apparently Wetmore was really talking to him before FLN, and it would make a lot of sense with the altitude. Ritz, Torres, and Goucher were all coached by Wetmore. Might be a good fit for Lukas.
Lacey Gibson has not committed to McKendree. She in fact is still in the process of taking official visits. She might have a visit there, but hasn't committed.
""Carly Paracholski and Meagan Paracholski both to:
~~~~~~MINNESOTA~~~~~~""
Not true.....Carly (2:05) and Meagan Paracholski (2:10) have not decided where to attend college next fall. You guys think you're sly by false posting. As if the twins are gonna look on Letsrun and then decide, "ok, it says on Letsrun that we committed to Minnesota, let's commit there."
By any chance, "illinoisknows" are you a collegiate coach??? Hmmmm???
And why are we paying so much attention to Lacey Gibson?
What is your source on Moussa to CU?
3 years ago Stanford and Ivy league schools began to grant full financial aid to ALL students (not just athletes) that were admitted whose parents couldn't afford the cost of attendance with this amount set around 180k per family. So anyone from a family making less than this would be free to athletics is my understanding.
The 2010 joint family income for free tuition is $75,000 at Dartmouth, I believe Harvard and Yale are about the same. I believe UNC was the first to develop such a policy and the Ivies jumped in quickly. I don't know the Stanford number, but $180,000 sounds very, very high for such a program.
Someone quoted his facebook on tracktalk. If true, that's a huge pickup for the Buffs
Stanford scales back from 100% starting at about $180k, but it isn't free until well under $100.
Carly's a tank and she and Meagan will be able to go wherever they want on full scholarships, therefore I highly doubt that they would go to Minnesota. It'll be interesting to see whether either of the twins will attempt XC as both seem to have an untapped potential, however they have both failed to succeed in the Manitoban Cross COuntry scene.
