Should be an interesting WS, but unfortunately it will be one of the least viewed of all time. I like Texas to win it, but if Lincecum can beat Lee (are they facing each other?) then SF has a chance. With Vlad hitting well, Texas has two great hitters and a lot of versatility in the rest of the lineup.

I think people give Cliff too much credit for too short of a resume. People have been saying he's "undefeated" in the postseason. Yeah, technically he is "undefeated". But the real truth is that he got knocked around last year against the Yankees in game 5 of the World Series giving up 5 earned runs. The Phillies still ended up winning the game 8-6 thanks to their hitting. He's a great pitcher, but give him more playoff pitching experience before we crown him greatest postseason pitcher ever. He did only start his postseason experience 1 year ago.

Cliff Lee is now 7-1 with a 1.96 ERA in the postseason, and he is irrefutably one of the greatest postseason pitchers ever. Those are numbers I would stack up against ANYBODY who ever hurled a ball on a diamond...ANYBODY...And I would take Cliff Lee to start a game 7 of a World Series and know that nobody who ever walked the earth was better. There may have been a few as good, but nobody has done it better, makes me feel sad for the rest...Cliff Lee will win this World Series for the Texas Rangers.

Lee's numbers are much more impressive in a hitter's era.

Sorry, the greatest postseason pitcher of all time doesn't allow a run every two innings. He would have more than one good start in WS play. What? Only three games pitched you say? Exactly, the sample is still too small.
Lee may have lost a potential few million dollars last night and ironically may have made it easier for the Rangers to re-sign him for next year.
