RICHARD Peters broke his personal best with his first sub-1mins 51secs 800 metres time at the British Milers' Club Gold Standard meeting at Watford on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old Bristol & West AC runner finished fourth in 1:50.29 to slice 0.91secs off his previous best 1:51.2. In the B race, club-mate Harry Webb clocked 1:54.68.
Bristol & West coach Mike Down said: "I'm really pleased with that – he seems to be getting somewhere, although there is clearly much more to come from him."
Peters will now race at the BMC meeting at Parliament Hill today against top American Alan Webb, who is on the comeback from injury.

Right, afterall people were saying that Webb had absolutely no reason to run a low key 5K, so why would he run a low key 800?
