I am female and I run at 4am without worrying about getting attacked. Move to a safer neighborhood.
Or carry a .357 snubnose pistol
or run with a female Belgian Malinois.
I drink my coffee at 2;30am & do my runs at around 3:30am -----4;00am then i have breakfast.
I’ve done a few runs between midnight and 2 AM in my life. Sometimes feeling anxious. Sometimes stress because of girlfriend stuff. Sometimes mid life crisis. Sometimes feeling adventurous. But ALWAYS they are amazing runs that make you feel alive. Definitely would recommend.

I also probably see more woman out running when it’s dark anyway, but I live in a safe place.
I like running at 3am to 5am. But for safety i would have to change my run times I live in Compton watts area of Cali. So you know it's a bit dangerous. It's not cuz the crack heads or the dope dealers in the area... it just gets nerve racking when gang initiations are going around.. especially in summer time. I guess the gangs start recruiting.. so you don't want to be the innocent victim getting shot up by some 13 year old getting into a gang. If I plan to run early I go to a nice neighborhood to change things up. I'm a paranoid type of guy, I change my routes.. you never know if some one it's spotting your routine out.
