no kosgei will get challenged by dubios. he ran almost 2 minutes faster this year at the boilermaker this year then he did last year.
talking about the team scores, sunyg could challenge, but i dont think they will come out on top of the region.
My bad whoa nelly, I forgot. As blind hatred is my forte,it's only fair for you to do a little of your own.
Who would you project to be the 5th runner for RIT? I think even with Miller and Brindak, the guys that went 1-2 at ECACs last year, Hardbarger and Burdick will be their front runners. Is Bonjanoski back? Sorry if I didn't spell their names right.
This is dedicated to Ouch, My eye....Along with every other shitty runner who brags about their current or former team on this thread....
Stop me if Im wrong, but isn't it the point of our sport to run your fastest at a championship meet to help your team qualify for the biggest race of the year?
You cant sit here and say, that someone who clearly outworked your sorry ass and actually PERFORMED when it counted most was just a fluke..Or just because others had a bad race...We all ran in the same conditions, just cuz you and a bunch of others couldn't handle REAL cross weather, doesn't give you the right to bash the few who did run well.
Did Plattsburgh deserve to go to Nationals last year? Probably not, But because this sport actually has rules and rewards teams for manning the f*** up when it counts and not just biased opinions of jealous wannabe's on a message board, we got in, and hey, we didn't come in last, so therefore...We deserved to go.
Maybe if you guys spent half as much time on the roads actually training instead of bashing fellow runners on this thread, you could possibly run well..
Sincerely,
The guy who ran fast when it counted.
Ben Jackson, always a class act, thanks for backing up my point. Plattsburgh should not have been PREDICTED to come in and qualify nationally, but they did. I didn't say it was because you lucked into it. I left that up in the air as possibly a very intelligent move by Lynch to keep you under the radar, no offense intended. It's a shame that you won't be back this year.

Bojanowski graduated, but I imagine Lowe and Kurvach will be in the running for a top 5 spot.
Not everyone who posts on lets run is slow, or doesn't train hard. Posting here has little to do with running ability. I think it's great fun to come on here to post about my former team, and to predict what might happen. If you're going to read the posts and/or post yourself, you have to be prepared to see what people REALLY think.
Really, your race was an outlier for your season. An impressive race when it counted, so why would you get so upset? Coming on and posting that everyone else is slow, wasting their time here, and should just train hard like you is stupid. You could have come up with a much better come back. I mean the person posts under "Ouch, my eye." I've already come up with 999 things to say.

yeah I would run 12 hours a day if it wasn't for letsrun. as it stands my letsrun posting limits me to 11.5 hours a day...i'm such a bitch.

Didn't the TCNJ women's team lose a lot? You really think they can nab 3rd?
ahhh came up with 999 things to say. i get it! clearly mikejones999 someone who "REALLY thinks"
Cortland will definitely be a powerhouse again this year. Although anything could happen they have some very strong returners and mabe a few suprises? They might be at the top of another strong atlantic region this year
Unfortunatly I do have to agree with Ben Jackson's bickering and annoying comment. We can predict all we want but anything can happen in one race. In yes, we all ran the same conditions last year and there isn't any excuse for a team running bad or good. Thats the beauty of running, if you get beat its because the other team ran faster than you, you can't deny that.
But posting on lets run is fun and keeps us all connected, so shut up Ben Jackson. If you feel offened then maybe you shouldn't log on anymore
Clever, do you attend the Fox News College? I didn't say he would have to listen to people who really think, but what people really think. I was implying that some people who aren't his team, family, and friends might be upset because he ran well. CLEARLY, people take cheap shots at other teams and runners on lets run, get over it, or don't read it.
My number choice was simply to avoid a cliche. I didn't want to say, "a million things." Why attack me? It's not like I called the kid out for anything other than calling everyone who posts here slow, saying they should man up, and be more like him.

get over it
exactly. so back to my question. I thought the TCNJ women's team lost a lot of key runners, is that correct? I don't expect them to make nationals this year, especially as they didn't place very high at last years cross nationals
Cortland should still be good. Not as good as last year, but they will be contenders. Don't think the new coach is doing much for them, but hey, they have some great runners. Geneseo will be deep, they just need to get some people to take that next step. Pack running is great as long as the pack is close enough to the front. I would guess, as would anyone else, that these two will go 1-2, order is not so sure.
Other than that, I'm not too sure. I'm sure NYU will be up there again, but after that it's a crapshoot.
Have to agree with Ben here. While Im not as eloquent as he, in the past Plattsburgh has almost always manned up at regionals and done better than their regional ranking. Look it up if you want to. I think I remember someone doing that and Plattsburgh was the team that had the highest improvement from ranking to actual finish at the regional meet over the past 10 years. Please someone correct me if Im wrong. If the OP of that graph could post it again that would be great.
I can't wait until we get closer to season for more postings on here. My only problem is that no one has mentioned UofR yet. They had that whole pack thing working like Geneseo with a pretty young group of runners. I'd say look to them as coming on strong this year...

Here's the problem with that reasoning....
Rochester
1 57 James Vavra 27:22
2 61 Jon Pinto 27:27
3 74 Daniel Chebot 27:37
4 77 Brian Lang 27:38
5 86 Jason Zayac 27:52
6 ( 89) Daniel Lane 27:54
7 ( 90) Craig Baumgartner 27:54
Geneseo
1 4 Tim Chichester 25:46
2 17 Brett Dolan 26:22
3 20 Jesse Berube 26:25
4 21 Tom Reubens 26:26
5 29 Mark Streb 26:41
6 ( 33) Lee Berube 26:47
7 ( 46) Bobby Henchen 27:06
The top Rochester guy didn't beat Geneseo's 7th man. Granted, they will be better this year, but almost everyone would have to take a minute off their times to be near Geneseo. Possible, but unlikely.

also assuming geneseo doesn\'t improve at all. u of r is a decent team but they have a LONG ways to go before they are a contender.
This goes along with what Ben Jackson said and to the people who thought Plattsburgh was a fluke last year and to the doubters. First to the people who thought Plattsburgh was a fluke. Are you crazy?! The team clearly saw they had an opportunity to go to nationals and they left it all out on the course when it counted most. Then they went and showed you people they deserved to be there and you say it was a fluke. Just say it, they deserved to have gone. Now for you doubters. What? Do you not think other team mates will step up this season. Sure the team is losing some of their top few, but they do have other people on the team who want and will step up. Going to nationals probably gave them some confidence don't ya think? As miracle posted John Lynch can make average runners good. He can prepare his runners to run at their best when they need to and when it counts most.
