It's been awhile for me, but this hits the nail-on-the-head - and I go way back to the Regina escapades... Maybe this is what the "...end is near" thing is about, huh? ...hopefully?

Aside from the original poster, I don't recall anyone on this thread saying that he or she believed that Seko averaged over ninety miles per day for a week or more. But several of us did point out that it was reported that he ran 1,200 km in eight days, and we were correct.
You weren't correct you pompous ass. Seko HIMSELF said that the most he ever ran in one day was 55 miles.
I've given you something to spend your time on, given your penchant to petulantly feed into this tangent. Do I owe you something beyond that? No, I don't. Your inability to stop responding feeds my amusement, so I will thank you for being such a willing foil.
Serious question to (hopefully) get this thread back on track beyond the back-and-forth bickering between all involved:
Does Nobby or anyone else reading this know Seko, to give any input that came directly from the horse's mouth? I know Seko coaches now (or at least had been coaching), so it would be interesting to get his own assessments of his career.
so nobby has decided to stay away from this otherwise interesting thread because, according to someone, he's nothing but "nobody who is just whining". i don't blame him for getting fed up if all this guy gives is cheap shots and insults.
hey, "nobby acts like a knob" or skuj or antonio or whoever you may possibly be; since you said you learnt more about japanese training from brett in tokyo's blog than nobby, why don't you share that wisdom with us now you have effectively pushed nobby out of here? i just went to nobby's lydiard foundation website. i'm not a member but i could easily get in and read his forum. he's already got a dozen posts, explaining some stuff i've never heard or read anywhere before. if you think you can top that, i'm all ears.
yuo are the old news. you sound always the same. you come up with different names all the time but you always shows same matter--grudge over nobby and personal attack with no contribution to the topic whatsoever. so you claim you're so knowledgeable and high and almighty, share your wisdom instead of just bitching and whining and insulting.

In the book 'Running with the Champions', it states the 1,200K in 8 days story. He said, and I quote, " My body was very confused after that, but I did it." And yes it was in New Zealand.
Where in the book is that? The book only details that of American distance runners.
Alex probably meant "Running With The Legends," which has been referenced in other posts on this thread with respect to that story.

American men regularly now run sub 13 5k and sun 27 10k but marathons stuck at 2:07. What gives?
