I predict I'm gonna have an awesome time watching everyone mix it up in PA.

I'm looking forward to watching people run through the castle, that last 800m should very awesome to watch assuming they keep the serpentine design they have for the last part.

from the course description it doesn't sound like it's that hard of a course. Only 1 real hill less than a half mile into the race?

hard for all the flat landers, but the RMAC should be fine, 4 teams in the top 10, including at least three of the top 6.

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying it is a hard course. From the description it seems like it is all gradual inclines with one moderate hill at the beginning. I haven't seen the course, but it sounds like it is pretty similar to last years course in Joplin... all grass with continious gentle inclines. Can anyone compare the two courses?

I think some people do not know it is a new course from the one run in 2001. The course in 2001 was brutal with some pretty decent hills throughout and a huge one at about 4.5 miles. The best ever was John Kemboi walking up the hill. John Murray was pissed.

Aztec results are up. Chico 5th w/ out Bauhs. Probably would have been 2nd to BYU with.

looks like some really good teams were there.. LOL looks like one of chicos B team guys would of been thier 4th or 5th but was scored as the first guy on the B team ..

Wonder how long beach and Fullerton like getting beat by a B team

and he still finished really high in that race. we have him on video walking up the hill. all these dudes pop up on screen flying by and then you see kemboi just out there chilling on his nice little saturday walk. pretty funny stuff.

not impressed with chico, i thought they were better. besides scott bauhs, did anyone else sit out?

don't know .. But isn't Wickman a 3:46 guy and was in their top 5 last year? Something must of happend

not the old 2001 course new course on coopers lake. challenging course despite whatever you may of read and the finish is still serpentine or however you would like to describe it with the castle. overall challenging especially with the conditions that will occur but very spectator friendly

yeah, wickman is pretty baller, so i guess they were without two of their top 5

Harding's results are pretty sweet they are going to mix it up with the top three teams. They might even beat Chico.

Harding is a definite contender...If Biwott is also eligible, they will be even stronger---I don't see them beating either Abilene or Adams.

Chico will drop in the poll since they did not race all their horses and did not look great anyway. Western should drop significantly--who has raced for them? They are being ranked high based on reputation and expectations more than results. They will stay in the top five because of this, but I expect them to drop as the season goes on.

There were not that many races this week to shake things up. Next weekend will see much more XC action among the ranked teams.

Shippensburg lost to Lock Haven in the Atlantic region, but Shipp had at least 2 guys sit out. Lock Haven will probably get ranked...

There seems to be no consensus among the DII regional rankers on how to approach the rankings.

Do you rank 'em how they run or do you rank them based on who you know (or THINK) will run at some point or has raced and sat out?---If football or basketball was ranked based on "well, if so and so had played, the game would have been different..."---Do you think that would go over very well? I know...different sport, different parameters and circumstances. Just asking the question.

Western is done. Tossem out the back!

Western isn't really 'Done', they just won't be were they were in previous years i think. Pennel, Donnan, and Clark will be all Americans for sure. They will be mixing it up with the second half of the top ten:

- Western

- GVS

- Mines

These schools will all duke it out for the 6,7, and 8 spots.
