GREAT post
Jasper Lamar Crabbe wrote:Thing you have to remember is that most of these postings are from people who are either very inexperienced and/or very young. Many of them are products of primary and secondary schools where 'bad kids' acted a particular way, and 'good kids' basically did nothing at all, except what Teacher and Coach and their Loving Parents told them. Hence they are overreacting when presented with the question of a girl snorting a few lines of cocaine.
It's like something out of a movie to them. Next scene is, somebody gets killed or goes to the Big House. They have no conception of reality at all.
Reality is, thus far we don't know whether this is a 23-year-old hardcore type heavily into some scene, or just a teenybopper trying out different things, the way most (normal) people do.
NOT a great post. Stupid post from someone who wants to seem worldly.
Doesn't matter where this girl is in her use of cocaine. She still risks jail time, drug-related death (killed by the drug or by a person involved with the drugs), fines, court costs, the way members of her family will always look at her from now on, etc. if she gets caught. And, all that could happen even if she doesn't ever become addicted to it. She becomes addicted to it, and many other things are likely to happen. She'll sell her body, she'll steal, possibly even murder, etc. No that doesn't happen to every college kid who tries it, but why even go down that road? Cocaine is a big deal. I went to college with rich kids who could afford it, and I was friends with two guys I knew who did it. The one guy dropped out of school (he was brilliant by the way) and spent some time in jail then became an alcoholic and now works as a fruit picker on his Aunt's fruit farm. The other guy did it for two years, decided that was enough and then quit. He's successful, but he did turn gay later after being married for 10 years and his wife pregnant with their first child (true story, but I obviously don't think the cocaine had anything to do with being gay). BUT, the two people he used to do the cocaine with in college continue to be huge losers. A woman who got hooked up with a 40-something dude while she was still 19 in college ended up marrying him, dropped out of college and had at least one birth defect child. She was super hot and her looks went down hill immediately upon getting hooked up with this guy. Not sure what happened to the other guy other than I know he was busted more than once in college for cocaine and other drugs.
I'll say that the drug use Jasper Lamar Crabbe envisions is the one out of a movie. Nothing glamorous or innocuous about it. When I lived in Michigan there was a college kid who got duped into transporting some cocaine; he got caught. It was over a certain amount, and Michigan had a LIFE SENTENCE for it. DAMN!
If you think you're snorting some cocaine and that no one stole or assaulted or killed for it or that there's no chance at one time it came out of a condom from some guy's anus, then you're crazy. Blood on the hands of anyone who ever has done cocaine -- ESPECIALLY cocaine. Maybe some nice bits from some dude's colon up your nose too.
NICE.
