So it basically looks like Chicago '07 had a dew point of about 65 degrees. That feels like being in a desert compared to 77 degrees.
Not when you're running 26.2 miles all out in it, esp. after we lost the shade of the buildings around 16 miles and the sun was reflecting off the concrete.
The dew point in the Orlando area is routinely over 70 in the summer which makes it tough running long runs. I did 15 miles today and was forced to take 30 second walking breaks the final four miles every five minutes to keep my pulse around 155. I drank 11 pints pf water and gatored before and during the run and still lost six pounds. My sweat rate is typically about a pound per mile in the summer. Compare this to a 10-miler in Eau Claire, Wisconsin last saturday with one stop for a pint of water and my pulse was 126 after the run. Summer marathon training in Florida is not optimum.

The Dew Point in Connecticut was 81 when I went running today. Absolutely the worst thing ever.
I ran a lot in Savannah last July, August, and September in weather approaching the Mombasa type (right now dew point of 23 degrees celsius in Savannah, temp of 34 c): not pleasant and not looking forward to doing it again soon.
I just checked the hourly dew points in orlando for the past 24 hours and it ranged from a low of 73.9 to a high of 79.5 degrees. Hydration and electorlyte replacement are vital. Slowing down and considering walking breaks are suggested.
